REMEMBERING SUSAN

The Georgetown & Scott County Museum tries to feature local personalities throughout the year. When Susan Moore's name was mentioned it was a definite "yes!" Susan Elaine Moore was a teacher at Scott County High School for over 30 years. She was a knowledgable soul with an unmistakable personality and a heart that poured love into everything she did.

"We didn't need the internet; We had Susan" - Susan Moore's funeral Eulogy as delivered by Jawanna Herd

Susan produced over 80 plays including titles like "West Side Story" "Hello Dolly" and "You Can't Take it with You." One cannot count all the students that she encouraged over the years.

"Susan Moore, Miss Moore, was a magnet who attracted persons representing every character type from every play or story ever written. She was also a beloved shepherd for untold numbers of adolescent sheep." - Holly Brown Sunderland
