The Kiwanis Club has benefited Scott County greatly over the years, as a thank you the Museum is highlighting some of their wonderful moments.
Riding the Bluegrass Rails
Georgetown and Scott County Museum presents The Scott County History of Trains and Railroads which will be on exhibit at the museum into early 2024.
The precision model of the "DeWitt Clinton" locomotive, tender, and three stagecoach style passenger cars was completed over a period of 43 years by Mr. Douglas W. Cox, of Scott County, Kentucky.
Georgetown Post Office
It was a big day in Georgetown on May 1, 1915, when the post office cornerstone was laid in elaborate ceremonies and observed by some 2,500 citizens.
Pete the Crow
Pete the Crow is one of the most unique things about our museum because he can tell his story himself!
