Focusing on Black History in Scott County

The history of everyone in Georgetown and Scott County is important as we celebrate 250 years of historical events. At the Museum, we are celebrating important black villages and churches all over the county. Visit us to read about the education at Ed Davis and let's not forget those "Mud Turtles"! We have added more photographs of the renowned photographer, William McIntyre, for viewing. Please stop by throughout May and June to help us appreciate this history.

Here's a sneak peek from our new exhibit!
